Today at our production facility we tested the locked rotor torque a new 30 HP Written Pole motor. The Locked Rotor Torque or Starting Torque is the torque the electrical motor develops when its starts at rest or zero speed.
A high Starting Torque is more important for application or machines hard to start such as positive displacement pumps.
Our motor out performed our expectations with 110 ft/lbs of torque at 0 rpm or 125% of full rated HP. Needless to say, we had a good day at the office
