Project: 100HP motor for centrifugal pump
Location: Dee Ranch, Aliceville, AL
Background: In 2008, Mike Dee of Dee Ranch purchased a 100HP BELLE™ Single Phase Motor to power his Berkeley Centrifugal Pump used to irrigate 247 acres of corn and soy beans located in Aliceville, Alabama. After battling with his diesel engine, Dee was in search of a more reliable and efficient alternative for powering his centrifugal pump. Like many of our customers, Dee had considered installing three-phase electricity to his ranch but this would have been a costly installation. Installation of a three-phase line costs between $60,000-$100,000 per mile and the Dee Ranch is 4 ½ miles from the nearest three-phase power grid. Dee turned to Single-Phase Power Solutions for the most cost-efficient and reliable motor for his application.
Results: Dee’s Berkeley pump is pumping 1,856 gallons of water per minute thanks to our 100HP Single-Phase Motor.
