In many rural areas electric utilities and co-ops rely on single-phase line to deliver power to their customers. As rural manufacturing, industrial, and agricultural industries continue to grow across North America, demand for three-phase power continues to increase. Often, the cost of three-phase line extension in these areas is cost prohibitive. The BELLE™ Written-Pole® Single-Phase Motor provides a solution for rural utility customers to drive their large horsepower applications.
Utilities prefer our motors because they do not require VFDs or phase converters and produce no harmonic distortion. When combined as part of the BELLE™ 1-to-3 Microgrid Power Source™, customers can generate three-phase power from their already existing single-phase line. This eliminates the need for three-phase line extension, replaces costly diesel, propane and natural gas generators and delivers additional load to the utility. It is the perfect, affordable alternative.
